Interuniversity training course „EU integration and ENP”

The aim of the course was to give to the students the knowledge on the role of innovation for economic development and factors that foster innovation in regions. During lectures and interactive seminars, students closely analysed a number of “innovative” regions to get an understanding of the concept of “innovative regions”.

Course contents:

1. Building a sustainable habitat for Innovation and Entrepreneurship;

2. Models and practices for Open Innovation;

3. Leading Teams for Innovation;

4. Strategies for fostering Entrepreneurship;

5. Benchmarking Regions: Assessing Strengths and Weaknesses;

6. Government Policy and Public Sector Initiatives in EU;

7. University-Industry Linkages: best practices;

8. Cases of High Tech Regional Development in Europe;

9. Venture Capital Best Practices;

10. Discovering Successful Business Models;

11.  Emerging Trends for New Technologies: Green Tech;

12.  Operating in Global Networks;

13.  Global Leadership Skills for Catalysing Change.

 Objectives of the Interuniversity training course were:

- To be able to understand that innovative regions differ according to their characteristics and sources to their innovative capacity.

- To be able to make comparative EU cross-country analysis on innovative regional development;

- To be able to critically and systematically apply the theoretical knowledge in describing current problems in Moldova regarding innovative entrepreneurship development on national and regional level;

- To gain analytical tools and insights to raise innovation and entrepreneurship in their organization/region to a new level.

      Interuniversity training course „EU integration and ENP” was intended for the second cycle (Masters) students. This course is designed for 2 years. It already was delivered during the second semester of the 2nd academic year (2014/2015) and will be delivered during the second semester of 3rd academic year, respectively (2015/2016). The Interuniversity training course had been attended by 60 students from the Faculty of Business and Administration. At the end of the project the Interuniversity training course will be attended by 90 students.
