METHODOLOGY

The REGDEV methodology is open for further deep improvements and will be based on interactive and interdisciplinary approach. The main method of executing the Project’s activities will be oral communication, namely:

  • Teaching of university courses will be realised within existing Bachelor and Master programmes at the ASEM. The courses will address traditional student cohorts and will be substantially based on, besides the traditional ex cathedra lectures, the seminar classes, case studies, discussions, oral presentations of certain topics etc. In addition, courses will use the technique of educational debate, preparing target groups to deliberate on certain issues and critically assess their own point of views.
  • Teaching of training courses will be realised within “EU.Academy” Winter and Summer Schools organised by CSEI.ASEM. The professional training courses will be addressed to not-traditional learners (professional groups) and traditional students as well but more interactive teaching methods will be used for both cases, based on the knowledge and skills that learners will bring to the classrooms. The students will get and give direct feedback on the courses topics thus transparent and high-profile quality assurance system will be performed.
  • Roundtables will represent a series of annual international expert`s meetings organised by CSEI.ASEM. The chair holder, in close collaboration with the representatives of civil society representatives, will nominate for each event a specific topic for debates that will be actual and relevant to the project`s issues. The Roundtables will involve EU and national experts and will be realised as a combination of expert’s speeches, interactive presentations of case studies, best practices and drafting of recommendation.
  • Conference’s Jean Monnet sessions will represent an incorporate part of the Annual Anniversary International Conference of the ASEM (organised each academic year at the end of September). The sessions will involve EU and national experts, will have a scientific-practical approach and will be realised as a combination of speeches, presentations of the case studies and best practices. Each session will be finalised by the publication of the authors’ contributions.
  • PhD Seminars will represent an incorporate part of the Annual International Conference of Young Researchers of the ASEM (organised each academic year at the end of April). The seminars will be realised as a combination of speeches, presentations of research’s results and case studies, exchange of best practices in research methodologies and development of Eastern European regional science theme within doctoral schools
