Conference`s Jean Monnet Session

„Innovative Regional Development in the Eastern Neighbourhood:

the role of Start-ups and SMEs”

On 26-27 September 2014 in the premises of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM) took place the Jean Monnet (JM) Conference`s session “Innovative Regional Development in the Eastern Neighbourhood: the role of Start-ups and SME`s”.

The Jean Monnet session was attended by 45 participants (including 25 non-local contributors) representatives of the EU countries (France, Portugal, Sweden, Finland, UK and Romania) and Eastern neighbouring countries (ENCs) (Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova).

 

The participants performed the following role:

 

  • Took active engagement in the JM Session deliberation;
  • Spread their acquired knowledge to their colleagues and especially to students and young leaders, what will have a long-term and multiplying effect;
  • Have been promoters of elaborating new curricula and courses programs on the JM Session topics and of new project proposals and cooperation initiative in their respective surroundings;
  • Assured their active participation and support to the JM chair in the future Jean Monnet activities during the present project`s lifetime but also after the project`s end.  Each participant received the certificate of the participation of the Jean Monnet Session.

 

The main output of the event is the multi-lingual Jean Monnet Conference session`s publication (pdf). It reflects the point of view of the EU experts and national experts from ENCs on the innovative regional policies development in their countries, in particular and represents the main resource of knowledge on the innovative regional development process with particular light on the importance and role of Start-ups and SME`s for future successful EU economic integration and regional development of the ENCs.
